 How close to the wall does the WerkMaster™ get? On all WerkMaster™ models, the machine comes within 1/8" of the wall. Adding a skirt will add an additional 1/8" to the distance from the wall What is Octi-Disc™ Technology? Unlike a planetary, WerkMaster's Octi-Disc™ Technology features 8 fixed discs that are designed and positioned to counter rotate to each other negating any inertial pull on the machine. How fast do the heads spin? The model 1400 – Europa can operate between 750 and 2000 RPM. The Raptor between 950 and 3500 RPM. The TITAN and the COLLOSSOS between 1500 and 4000 RPM. Does it really get back all the way to the kick plates under counters? On nearly all standard cabinets, the WerkMaster™ will reach under the counter back to the kick plate, which is a real benefit. Can the 1400C be used in commercial applications for grinding concrete? Yes. The 1400C is not as aggressive as the Model 1600–Raptor or the Model 1800–TITAN for larger areas of concrete grinding. It is a powerful machine and outperforms all of the planetary machines in the same size class and larger. How good is the WerkMaster™ at removing thinset? Our answer to that question is... How fast can you walk? When polishing concrete, can you grind dry or wet? Both. With our unique internal tankless water feed system you can polish either wet or dry. How many pads or discs are there on a WerkMaster™? WerkMaster's Patent Pending Octi-Disc™ Technology uses 8 discs that counter rotate to each other thereby eliminating any sideways pull by the machine. What is the typical square foot coverage of the WerkMaster™ diamond abrasives on concrete? It depends on the hardness of the concrete. Typically, you can expect to get a minimum of 10,000 square feet up to 25,000 square feet. In the higher grits, we have some diamonds that have lasted 40,000 square feet. Can I use the WerkMaster™ on exposed aggregate around my pool area and patio? The WerkMaster™ does an amazing job on exposed aggregate. You can remove a little to take off the rough edges or grind it completely flat. How much does a WerkMaster™ weigh? The model 1400C weighs 175 lbs, The Model 1600–Raptor weighs 270 lbs and the Model 1800–TITAN weighs 380 lbs. How much weight can you add to a WerkMaster™? You do not need to add weight to a WerkMaster. Our high speed discs eliminate the need for weight. How difficult is it for Rental Customers to learn how to use the WerkMaster™? Not difficult at all. A few minute demonstration is all that is necessary for anyone to use a WerkMaster™. Do you have disposable resin diamonds for the Rental Market? We are the only company to have developed an inexpensive product that will last for approximately 3000 square feet for each grit. These are available in a wet/dry resign pad and are stocked in 30, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 and 3000 Grit.
