What type of stone can the WerkMaster™ polish?

All natural stones, including Granite, Marble, Travertine, Slate, Alaskan Quartzite, Terrazzo, Limestone and more.

 

How close to the wall does the WerkMaster™ get?

On all WerkMaster models, the machine comes within 1/8" of the wall. Adding a skirt will add an additional 1/8" to the distance from the wall.

 

What is Octi-Disc™ Technology?

Unlike a planetary, WerkMaster's Octi-Disc™ Technology features 8 fixed discs that are designed and positioned to counter rotate to each other negating any inertial pull on the machine.

 

Does it really get back all the way to the kick plates under counters?

On nearly all standard cabinets, the WerkMaster™ will reach under the counter back to the kick plate, which is a real benefit.

 

Can the 1400S be used in commercial applications for stone?

Yes. The 1400S is an excellent machine for polishing stone, especially in residential situations. It is a powerful machine and performs better than any planetary machines in the same size class and larger.

 

How good is the WerkMaster™ at removing thinset?

Our answer to that question is . . . How fast can you walk?

 

When polishing stone, can you grind dry or wet?

Both. With our unique internal tankless water feed system you can polish either wet or dry.

 

How many pads or discs are there on a WerkMaster™?

WerkMaster's Patent Pending Octi-Disc™ Technology uses 8 discs that counter rotate to each other thereby eliminating any sideways pull by the machine.

 

What is the typical square foot coverage of the WerkMaster™ diamond abrasives on stone?

It depends on the hardness of the stone and the type of stone. Naturally you will get better life on marble compared to granite or Alaskan Quartzite. Typically, you can expect to get a minimum of 10,000 square feet up to 25,000 square feet. In the higher grits, we have some diamonds that have lasted 40,000 square feet.

 

How much does a WerkMaster™ weigh?

The model 1400S weighs 170 lbs and the model 1600S weighs 275 lbs.

 

How much weight can you add to a WerkMaster™?

You can add up to 150 lbs to the model 1400S, up to 500 lbs on the Model 1600S, however, there is no need at all to add weight to the Model 1600S.

 

Is the Model 1400S available in 110Volt?

No. Only 220 Volt.
